2019 Design Team Reveal

Hello everyone and welcome to our 2019 Design Team Reveal!  I so appreciate each and every one of you who took the time to apply and please know that just because you were not selected this time is not a knock against your talent.  There were just so many application to choose from.  It was a very difficult decision in that my "2-4" turned into 6 new members!

Now without further ado, let's meet the newest members of the Let's Get Sketchy Design Team!
I live in Durbanville, which is in the Western Cape, South Africa; I live here with my life partner and my precious 8-and-a-half year old daughter.  I started scrapbooking in 2008 and although I've dabbled in many art forms over the years, scrapping has been the one that stuck. I also absolutely love taking photographs, so to be able to tie these two together to create one layout is something which I just relish.  My scrapping work usually tells a story - and I also just love the fact that in this day and age of modern technology and all memories being recorded digitally - I have actual live, 3D memories that my daughter can page through one day!  I'm incredibly excited to be on the Let's Get Sketchy team with SO many talented and inspiring ladies!
Lori

Hello! My name is Lori and I am thrilled to be on the Let's Get Sketchy Design Team! I live in a small SW Missouri town with my husband, Scott, and our 2 sons, Matthew and Shane. We also have a daughter, Abby, who is married to her high school sweetheart and they have a five-year-old little girl, Ada, that I have the pleasure of watching throughout the week. I started scrapbooking about 20 years ago and card making soon after that. Nothing relaxes me more than spending time in my scrap room looking back on the fun memories and documenting them. My scrappy style is clean and simple and I love to use sketches as a starting point. You can find me at my blog - My Happy Life. I would love for you to stop by!
Hello, everyone.  My name is Kaoru Inoue. I live in japan with my husband and  two children(7 and 5 year old).  I started scrapbooking in 2012.  There was a period of time apart from scrapbooking for a while, but when I met with sketches, scrapbooking became more fun.   Scrapbooking is also time for healing as well as time for memorizing.

For this I would currently describe my scrapbooking style as clean, layered & full of colors. Some of my favorite items are hand stitching, die cuts and stamps… my absolutely favorite elements are little gold highlights here and there as well as flowers & butterflies, respectively...  I am ecstatic to be joining the Let’s get Sketchy design team…  I hope you will find some inspiration in my work using the amazing Let’s get Sketchy sketches!

2018 Design Team Reveal

Hello everyone and welcome to our 2018 Design Team Reveal!  I so appreciate each and every one of you who took the time to apply and please know that just because you were not selected this time is not a knock against your talent.  There were just so many application to choose from.  It was a very difficult decision in that my "2-4" turned into 8 new members!

In as much as we are welcoming new members, we are also saying good-bye to several members of our team.  I do appreciate all the time, talent and effort they have brought to the LGS team and I do hope that you will play along with us from time to time!

Now without further ado, let's meet the newest members of the Let's Get Sketchy Design Team!

Hi everyone! My name is Bethany Roisland. I’m a teacher by day and a scrapbooker by night! I’m married to my wonderful husband Chris and together we enjoy traveling, playing sports and being outside.  The past five years we’ve been living in various places around the US (shoutouts to Delaware, Tennessee, Florida and North Dakota!) but now we’re happily living back in our home state of Minnesota.  I’m so excited to be part of this wonderful blog and share the joy of this amazing hobby we all love.

My name is Cathy and I live in sunny South Africa. I've been scrapping since 2003 when my BFF introduced me to this amazing hobby. I now eat, sleep, dream and do scrapping as much as I can in between working a mornings only job and being wife and mother to a teenager. I like the photos to be the star of the layout and the story behind them is enhanced by the papers and embellishments. I don't just scrap for the sake of making pretty pages, these pages are my photo album. I do a mix of double and single pages depending on the number of photos I have and the sketches that I work from. I look forward to inspiring you with my creations.
Hello, everyone.I'm the scrap booking fan who lives in Japan. 4 years have passed since a scrap booking was begun. I have 3 children. I like making a work along a sketch. Thank you.

Hi, I’m Deb from Devonport, Tasmania, Australia and am excited to be joining the team here at Lets Get Sketchy.  I have been scrapbooking for about 15 years now, having started by hosting a Creative Memories party.  Not long after that I discovered the World Wide Web, and needless to say, I was hooked.  I am basically a 12x12 scrapper and love to base my layout on a good sketch Smile  I like to incorporate  layers and distressing, and am working on my mixed media techniques!!  I am a very proud wife and mumma of 2 boys – no longer babies – 21 and 19 who no longer like to pose for photos but I get them nevertheless *wink*.  I am currently on a couple of other design teams, namely Sketches in Thyme, Scrap Plezier and Off the Rails Scrapbooking.  I am really looking forward to working with Brenshevia’s awesome sketches and hope I can inspire you all in some little way.  Deb xx

Everyone, nice to meet you. My name is Etsuko Kishimura. I am the mother of three children living in Japan. I usually work as an occupational therapist to visit rehabilitation. I encountered scrapbooking about six years ago and I was captivated by its wonderfulness.  Using the photos of children, the time to make a work is the time of my healing. Because I do not have time, I cut 〝 choki choki 〟with scissors in the middle of the night or early in the morning and I make it even though I am a little doubtful. I love the cuteness of the scrapbooking papers , I like cutting out pictures of paper and decorating papers in layers.I also like to enjoy coloring with stamps and mist / watercolor paints.  I like to make using sketches, this time I am happy to be able to join this "Let's Get Sketchy" design team! ! ! I hope to join in and enjoy growing myself so that scrapbooking can convey the feelings and pleasures I love to everyone.
Thank you (* '艸 `)
Hi everyone. My name is Firna and I'm a mother of two beautiful children who live in Jakarta, Indonesia.  My first experience with scrapbook started in 2012 and I was hooked ever since. I am so passionate about this hobby. I love to document my children and my family. And for me, scrapbook is the perfect way to showcase photos that I took along the years. It is very important to keep memory of our live as we will cherish it for the rest of our lives.  I love to share my creations with others and hope that you will enjoy it as much as I do.
Hi everyone! I'm Natsuko from Japan. I have been scrapping for more than 8 years now, and I'm still deeply in love. Making layouts not only makes me happy but it's also a stress reliever. My daughter is the main model in most of my layouts, and I want to keep the moments (special or not!) so she can remember them after she grows up. I love looking at other people's layouts too, imagining what kind of story is hidden there. Colorful is my style, and I love adding some mixed media on my background. I don't want to limit myself though, so I'm not hesitant to try new techniques and I'm always looking for new inspiration. I also love travelling, taking pictures and meeting people from all over the world. It's such an honor to be on this team, with all the other super-talented scrappers!!
Thank you,
Natsuko xxx

Now without further ado, let's meet the newest members of the Let's Get Sketchy Design Team!
Hi! I'm Nadia and I'm an scrapoholic :))))
I live in Moscow, love travel, dogs, draw and yoga. I started to scrap 6 years ago and I can't stop. And I think scrapbooking is the best thing that can happen with our photos. So we can tell a story, share emotions, remember it.   For me it is also a way of relaxation, not just a hobby))

So I happy to join Let's Get Sketchy creative team!

Hi my name is Joanna Ford and I'm from sunny Queensland, Australia. I am a chef in an Aged Care Facility and a cub scout leader with our local sea scouts which gives me lots of photos to scrap with.  I first started scrap-booking back in 2000 when I went on a working holiday to the US and scrap-booking was first starting. Well that was 17 years ago and this year I decided that I was going to step out of my little creating space and share it with the world.  I am on a couple of design teams over here in the land down under and my dearest friend owns and runs my local scrap-booking shop with her husband, (which makes it easy to shop.....LOL).  My Fav colour is green and I try to sneak it in to most of the layouts I create.  I can't wait to see the layouts you all come up with......... Chat Soon
Michelle V
I started scrapbooking in about 2001 when a neighbour opened her own homebased business back in South Africa ... and I have been hooked ever since! We moved to New Zealand in 2010, and we love living here. It's through scrapbooking that I have met the most amazing people and have gained some really close friends!  I am very much a girly girl - love flowers, glitters and bling.

Those that know me, will say I have more than enough flowers, and that is always my go to when I go scrapbook shopping. My kids are all grown up now - my son is 24 this year and my daughter 21. I scrap my daughter more often than my son - my son does not like having his photo taken. I draw my greatest inspiration off Di Garling, Gabrielle Pollaco, Frank Garcia and Anna Dabrowska (aka Finnabair) to name a few. Sometimes I will get ideas froom looking through the likes of Pinterest, and various facebook pages. There is some seriously great talent out there!
“Hello Everyone, I’m Ginny, I live in Wales in the UK. I am a married mother of two gorgeous children who you will get to see a lot in my scrapbooking along with a very patient and obliging husband and my beloved dog Evie, a Labradoodle!  I was introduced to scrapbooking by my Mother, who also scrapbooks, about 8 years ago and have been addicted to it ever since! It’s my ‘happy place’, I love creating and making but it also shares my love for photography and keeping all those photos and memories.

My style, I would say is shabby chic, romantic, girly, distressed, neutrals, layers, lots of flowers and I do like to include some mixed media. But having said that I will reach out of my comfort zone and get more colourful and masculine, as I do like to experiment!  I am so excited to be joining the Let’s Get Sketchy Design Team. I have always loved entering these LGS challenges so am very honored to hopefully inspire you all with my layouts as part of the design team with all the other talented ladies!
I can’t wait to get started!

Happy Scrapping
Ginny

My name is Mandy, I’m 39 years old and live together with my partner in Dresden, Germany. In June 2014 I started my discovery & adventure of the whole world of scrapbooking, project life, mixed-media etc. – so all creative things with papers, punching & stamping.  I love to try different materials & techniques and my style is still under development… but I like it if the colors are bright and the things have a fresh look. For this I would currently describe my scrapbooking style as clean, layered & full of colors. Hello there, my name is Michelle Kim and I absolutely love being creative. My tribe of five children keep me very busy and are my source of my inspiration.  I'm enjoying my journey and have scrapbooked for over 7 years and still loving it.I love remembering the details of my life through photos and my stories. Everyone has the freedom to create using their own style and that's what makes it so personal. I would say my style has evolved from simple to include the mixed media trend. How exciting it is to still be discovering new ways to express myself and share with other like minded creative people.  Thank you for sharing your passion for creating with us.
My mom Sunila and  I Aditi , started Dots to Lines and our forte is home decor, mixed media, scrapbooking and altered art. Sunila has a diploma in commercial art, and displays her artworks in various galleries across the world. She has also worked as a Graphic Designer at Hameed Mugal, Kenya.  With a MSc. in Clinical Psychology and Dip. in Special Education, I  took up arts and crafts since school days and also practiced art therapy when working with children with special needs. I have also completed an art course from School of Visual Arts, New York.

Crafting, thus has been a part of daily activities mostly in the form of various altered projects, or making gifts. We are into paper-crafting, layouts, journaling, card-making and scrapbooking. Our style of art and craft is a fusion of techniques and usage of vibrant colours. We aim to spread joy.

Delia
With a history of owning my own business in graphic design, I managed to work creativity into my work life.  These days, I get to do it simply for enjoyment.  I like anything creative basically and so I really do love to scrapbook as well as off the page projects.  I dabble in mixed media and intend to do much more of that as time progresses.  Journaling I have done a bit of, but not too much as I always struggle with pointlessness and so I am still trying to find the point of journaling for me personally.  I live on an acre in Brisbane, Australia with about 30 chickens plus about 10 roosters and our 2 rescue beagles.  Creativity for me is a daily need, like taking a breath, I can be found at my creative station usually all day and always well into the night.

We are so elated to have these talented bunch of women join the LGS team.  I promise you, you will not be disappointed with the inspiration they will provide to  you!  Please make sure you join us tomorrow for their first reveal!

Meet Vivian:
Hi! My name is Vivian and I just recently moved from southern Indiana to Dallas, Texas. I have been scrapbooking since 1998 and have tried many styles. Although I do actually work from home, mostly I'm the coordinator, caretaker, and "party planner" for my husband, son and mother-in-law. My son is my favorite subject for my layouts but I love getting in touch with my "girly" side for my cards and 3-D projects.

Meet Tiffani:
I am a scrappy mom to 3 beautiful girls (Harmony, Melody and Symphony) and I love to inspire people of all ages through art. I have been scrapbooking since I was a child and preserving memories for my children to share with their children is something I hold very close to my heart. Design Team Reveal Day 2~Sarah

Well I am a 29 year old mother of four amazingly, crazy little ones.  Two boys and two girls. The boys are the oldest, there 10 and 7. My girls are 4 and 2. So we have a busy house hold with 6 people and 4 animals. But I would never change it for anything in this world! They are my life and give me all the inspiration and reason to do what I love.  I grew up in Alaska on a tiny island and my mom started me on scrapbooking when I was 9 to give me something to do and keep me out of trouble and it worked. I slacked off for a few years when we moved to Alabama and I was in high school, but I started scraping again before I left school, pics of my friends and family. Shortly after I started a family of my own and got more engrossed with scrapping and making pretty home decor. So I've been scrapping for around 20 years, but slacked some in the middle. lol We now live in Arkansas. I love to scrapbook and not just the big moments, birthdays, holidays, family reunions and stuff. But the little stuff, I love the little stuff. I want my kids to look back threw there albums when there older and see the major things but also the little things. Pictures they never knew I took, sleeping, playing there games, sitting around watching tv, cuddling and just goofyness. I love what can be done with papers and a few embellishments to make something fantastic!

Good morning everyone!  First let me start off by saying "THANK YOU" to all of you who took the time out to apply for our team.  We received a lot of wonderful applications.  I wish I could have accepted all of you but that just isn't possible. Those applicants that were accepted have already been notified.  If you did not receive notification from me it was because there were simply too many to reply to!

Design Team Reveal-Welcome!!

First let me say THANK YOU to all of you wonderful ladies who applied to be a member of the LGS Design Team.  I will tell you, I had a hard time narrowing it down to a few select members. Because the applications were so voluminous, I was not able to send each and every one of you an email regarding the team so I only sent out to those who made the team. For those of you who did not make it this time, please do not let my decision deter you from the next call we have and please know that it is no indication of your talent or skills.  We will have another call again soon so please keep your eyes open and try again.  Also, play along with our challenges, we love seeing your work!  Now without further ado, I introduce the newest talented  members of the Let's Get Sketchy Design Team!!!

Hello! I'm Mabel Sim from Singapore. I first started out being a card-maker and decided to venture into making layouts as a challenge from my other crafty friends as well as making beautiful pieces to preserve those beautiful memories.  Mixed Media is my style as I like the unlimited possibility of colors as well as how unpredictable they can be yet so forgiving when I make a mistake somehow. I recommend you try that if you haven't. I usually provides step-by-step instructions on my blog. You can visit me at www.mabsdesigns.blogspot.com. Cheers!

My name is Marie, I am 38.  I was born in Seoul, South Korea.   I was adopted in Belgium when I was 6 months that's why I look asian ;-).I am a french speaker. My husband is very supportive of my hobby and will dutifully view and comment on all the creations I place between him and the TV. :) I'm a full-time government employee, though currently on maternity leave, and love being able to create beautiful LO's to remember family moments. To me it doesn't matter if it's a special event or just an everyday moment, I think they all make up part of the story and deserve to be recorded.

I'm Masami, and I'm living in New Jersey, US with my loving husband and our 2 vibrant boys.  I heard about scrapbooking from my closest friends almost 6 years ago, and since then I've been into the world of scrapbooking!  It is my most precious time working on my pages with our family photos.
I'm Eri Kanai. I live in Japan with 4 children.  It's fun and inevitable that a crop does them.

Hi! I am Sayaka.
I live in Tokyo JAPAN with my husband and my son (9 years old) and my daughter (7years old).  My favorite SB style is creating 12 inch layouts simply, using inspirable sketch!

Hi, My name is Elisa. I live in a small coastal city in New South Wales, Australia with my husband and two boys. I have a Law Degree but at the moment I am working part time as a Merchandiser for several craft companies and taxi service for my two boys. I have been scrapbooking for 10 years but have only recently ventured into the online scrapbooking world of blogging and challenge sites. My scrapping style varies from clean lines and white space to the other end of the spectrum of mixed media with messy paint, stencils, sprays and inks being a favourite.  I love documenting all aspects of our life in a creative way. I also love photography, camping, kayaking, archery, reading and spending time at the beach and spending time with family and friends.
