Design Team Reveal

Good morning everyone!  First let me start off by saying "THANK YOU" to all of you who took the time out to apply for our team.  We received a lot of wonderful applications.  I wish I could have accepted all of you but that just isn't possible. Those applicants that were accepted have already been notified.  If you did not receive notification from me it was because there were simply too many to reply to!   

Please do not take this as an indication of how good your work is, I just simply had to narrow it down to a select few.  We will have another call at the end of this term so please make sure you apply.  I look for those who are active on the LGS site so please join us in our weekly challenges.  Now without further ado, please welcome our new Design Team members! I am 31 years old and have been married for 6 years, this past February, to a very loving and supportive husband (especially when it comes to my hobby). We live in Johannesburg South Africa.  I am an economist by day and a scrapbooker by night as well as a mother to a little boy that is turning 2 in September. I am a HUGE animal lover, but more specifically a cat lover. I have a cat named Zorro, which I love to bits and even though he is a cat a spoil him rotten!

Hi, my name is YuNing Huang, AKA Valerie.  I live in the Silicon Valley with my husband and our dog Shiao Meo Tan (Little Charcoal). I love to travel and photography and enjoy good food.  I was introduced to scrapbooking back in 2005. I was still new to this country, so I figured this is a way for me to document my life and express my emotions. I was hooked ever since. I am blessed and grateful to know such a hubby, for me scrapbooking is therapeutic to me.

Hello there, My name is Joefil Cate. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. and am a stay @ home mom. I am married to a wonderful husband that encourages my scrapbooking. I have a 6 yrs. old daughter named Chelsey who is my inspiration! She is my favorite topic to scrapbook and I use her photos all the time. I started scrapbooking four years ago and fell in love with it right away. I am now officially addicted! I scrapbook whenever I feel like it which is a lot. I don’t have a particular style I just go with the flow. I get many good ideas from sketches and challenges online. I love the online challenges. I started blogging online more than a year ago so I can better share my layouts with others.

Hi! I am Mayoori, living in the beautiful town of Redmond, Washington with my ever supporting husband, and two lovely teenage daughters. I started scrapbooking two years ago, after I moved here from India.  Frankly speaking, I was awestruck by the range of papers and embellishments available here in the US. I don’t have a particular fixed style and prefer to just go with the style based on my mood and context. Looking at the talent and creativity in this field all around, I’m truly inspired. Although I have been scrapbooking for a while now, I feel Iike I am still in learning phase. There is so much more that can be done and a great opportunity for me to unleash my creativity. I always takes lots of pictures of my daughters (although they don't like it too much) but I know (and hope) they will cherish it later.  After all, could there be any better way to capture the essence and mood of the pictures than scrapbooking? I am proud to say I am a scrapbooker.

Hi! My name is Melinda Felicilda , I originally came from Philippines but live in Las Vegas now with my supported husband for 10 years and two kids .  I started scrapbooking between 2008-2009. Since then I have been hooked with this hobby and started collecting embellishment.  I like to used my children's photo's all the time in my layouts.... Can you pinch me.....hello there, Mrs.  Danie "Scrapaholic", here from Huntsville, Ontario. My feet haven't hit the ground yet!!!  I am just tickled pink to be joining my Let's Get Sketchy Design Team Family, I think I'm still up there (*she's pointing), on the moon!  I am happily married to the love of my life and a mommy to my son, Joaquin.  My boys are very supportive of my paper crafting addiction!!  I started my scrapbooking journey, almost three years ago, at a fall weekend retreat, and have never looked back.  I am now starting my Design Team journey with Let's Get Sketchy - Ha! that really rolls off the tongue nicely!  I am so blessed to be part of this amazing team and to call these uber talented girls FRIENDS! Hello my name is Nadine, I am a stay at home mom of a 19 yr. old son (who is away at college right now) and an 8 yr. old daughter. My husband, kids and I moved to Texas from Nevada about 4 years ago. Before moving to Texas I owned my own business as a hairstylist and I was also a part owner to a local scrapbook store. Since becoming a stay at home mom, I am really enjoying having more time to spend with my family and more time playing and being scrappy. I have been scrapbooking for about 17 years now with 12 x 12 layouts and cards being my favorite things to create. I made my 1st scrapbook when my son was just a toddler because I wanted a way to document his first years of life. After that I was hooked!

My name is Lynn Shaffer, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Let's Get Sketchy Team. A little about me. I am the proud mommy to Sophie, Casey and Charlie who are the inspirations for almost all of my layouts. They consider themselves little celebrities when they visit  my local LSS SGD as my layouts featuring their pictures can be found on display. I am married to the love of my life Dave, whom supports me and my addiction to paper. I also work full time as a pricing analyst for 3M Canada.I began scrapbooking in the summer of 2009 during my second maternity leave. In the last couple of years my style has evolved I love working with kits and sketches!! Need sketches. My goal, originally, was to document my kids, their growth and preserve those precious memories. But I soon fell in love with the creative process, and my pages will have a lot of hidden journaling. I love inking, layering, distressing, masking, fussy cutting, matting, stamping and.. ok there is not too much I don’t like to do.
