May Challenge

    Hello and as always welcome to Let's Get Sketchy.

Well we are already in May and it's time for our new challenge. We have plenty to show you from the Design Team along with the January winner who is Guest Designing with us. 

As always we have another great sketch from Brenshevia and we hope that you will join in.

This is where you will now be able to place your entry. All you need to do is add it to the sketch photo for that month. We will still have the challenge here and the design team creations to inspire you along with them being on the Facebook too but only submitting on Facebook.

We hope this will make it easier for everyone and it will make our commenting easier too so you wont miss out on hearing from us.*****

Now for this months Guest Designer.

Jamie

My name is Jamie Arthur and I'm so excited to be a guest designer at Let's Get Sketchy this month. I love scrapbooking and really love working with sketches. I have been scrapbooking for over 20 years at this point. I have two children, a Golden-doodle, and I'm married to the best man a girl could ask for. And when I say the best, I mean it! This man puts up with my scrapbooking obsession as well as my coffee addiction and my love of books (which are everywhere)!  I enjoy spending time in my craft room creating layouts for our family scrapbook albums. It is so fun to be able to open our family albums and not just look at pictures but relive the memories through the layouts themselves. I put my albums in the order in which things happened and I go year by year. The only problem with this method is that I end up with a lot of albums! I tend to scrap everything; however, I find that it is so worth it when I look at my children enjoying them. 

 Most of my layouts can be found on my blog Scrap Queen. On my blog I try to share what materials I used to create my layouts. Usually, I am using my Cricut Explore and Design Space, although occasionally I like to challenge myself to not use it. I also love using lots of pattern papers and embellishments.

I'm sure there is some inspiration here from the team that will inspire you if you need. We would love to see you join in with us each month with our wonderful sketches.

Caroline

My name is Caroline Rundby, I live in the south of Sweden with my husband, three kids and our dog. 

I started  scrapbooking when we went to South Africa to adopt our son. I wanted to make an album for him and his older brother so they could remember this beautiful and very important trip. This was in 2004. I have continued over the years to scrapbook both as a designer for a Swedish store and a Swedish scrapbooking magazine, but mostly I scrap to make memories for my family. 

I work as a teacher and this year with everything happening in the world I scrapbooked every week to remember the nice and fun things in my world.
