It''s Submission Time!!!

Please read as some of our submissions criteria have changed!

Well hello everyone.  Get Inspired has been on a brief break but we are back!  We are gearing up for our Winter issue of Lets Get Inspired.   Its time to get those submissions in for magazine publication.  

Here is what we are looking for in this issue:

·         Gallery -Fall or Winter Themed, Christmas themed
·         Triangles- (layouts using triangles in some fashion)
·         All in the Family (layouts using family photos)

·         Cards -Christmas/Birthday 

         Mood Board (Fall themed)

·     This time we are doing something a little different.  We will have a special section that will feature all of our selected "faves" during our submission time so make sure you get those entries in.  

COVER: As a reminder, we pull our cover photos from our challenge submissions; we also pull our feature artists from our entries.  ANY PROJECT SUBMITTED TO LGS IS SUBJECTED TO BEING PUBLISHED. If you do NOT want any of your projects published at any time, please contact me at letsgetsketchysubmissions@gmail.com.

SUPPLIES:   When listing your supplies please use the format below, any submission not properly submitted will not be considered for publication.

LAYOUT PHOTO: please make sure your layout is clear and concise.  No additional background “interference”.  We will not publish any photos that are not properly photographed.

DUE DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR ISSUE DECEMBER 31ST, 2015.  This issue will publish in February. 

Previously published work will not be accepted (print or digital).  You may however, submit work that has previously appeared in online galleries or blogs.  All work submitted must be no older than 60 days.

• Title of Project
• Brief Supply list
• Which section you are submitting for

Let's Get Inspired Magazine, Issue 3

Good morning everyone!  It's time for the latest edition of Let's Get Inspired!  I am so excited to bring this issue to you.  We had so many new names and submissions this time. I hope you ladies will keep them coming!  This just like the previous ones is full of fun, inspiring pages. It is our hope that you will find something in it that inspires you.

If you find that you have a project that was submitted and published, we ask that you would grab the blinkie below and place it on your blogs along with a link back to our site. We would truly appreciate that.  We would love for our next issue to be even BIGGER and we need your help to do so.

Issue 2 is OUT!!!

Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a great weekend thus far.  It has been a busy one for me thus the lateness of posting our current issue of Get Inspired.  I really appreciate all the great entries you ladies sent in.  I am sorry we couldn't publish them all but keep on submitting!

The ladies here at LGS put in a lot of time to get this issue ready for you so I hope you like what you see.  Make sure you check out our criteria for Issue 3 which is posted for you on the main page.  In the meantime, pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee or coke and enjoy!

Cover Girl Winner

Issue 2 Cover Girl Search

Happy New Year everyone!  We here at LGS would like to wish all of our players a Happy and Prosperous New Year.  We do hope that you will continue to be a part of our LGS family during  2014.

I would like to personally thank each of you who participated in our Christmas cover girl search, well its that time again.  Our next full issue comes out Feb 1st and we are once again in search of a Cover Girl.  to enter here is what you need to do.

1.   Use ONE of the sketches below to create a layout, doesn't matter which sketch you use, pick your fave out of the two.

2.  Blog about our search on your blogs and provide the contest link ( I will visit each blog:-))

Once the contest ends will put the entries to a vote, maybe public, maybe DT only, not sure yet but one of you lucky ladies will be our next cover layout!

LGS Inspired Christmas Edition

Merry Christmas all!  Sorry for the late post but its been one of those weeks!  Anyway its time for the reveal of our Christmas Edition of LGS Inspired.  I want to thank each of you who submitted entries.  We did not send email notification to those who were published this time as we wanted it to be a surprise.  What a great Christmas present right???

Cover Girl Search!

Attention LGS readers, we are in search of our next Let’s Get Sketchy“Cover Girl”!  How would you like to see your Christmas project as our next magazine cover page??  We are looking for a great project to grace the cover of our Special Christmas Edition of LGS Inspired. 

How to submit your project:

Below you will find 2 photos for inspiration, we would like you to select ONE of the photos and use it for inspiration.  

In addition to the inspirational photo, we would like you to use the sketch provided to create your layout.  You may turn the sketch but please try not to veer to far from it; we want to see the sketch in your page! 

Once your project is completed, please upload it using the link BELOW this post.  After the contest ends, LGS will post a poll for our reader/followers to vote on their favorite layout.  All projects HAVE TO BE NEW as of November 20, 2013. 

This contest ends December 7^th, 2013 so please don’t hesitate to get those entries in!  Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Christmas Deadline Extended!

Hello everyone, with the hustle and bustle of the holiday I have decided to extend the submission deadline for your Christmas entries.  You now have until Dec. 1st. to get those entries in!  Please click HERE for more detail as to what we are looking for.  Please post this on your blogs for anyone interested in submitting their work for publication,  thanks!

SPECIAL CHRISTMAS PUBLICATION

Due to the fact that our first issue went live in November I did not include any holiday items in that publication, however I do want to give you a chance to get those Christmas projects in print.  So let’s do a mini Christmas publication shall we?

Here is what we are looking for:

Christmas, Hanukkah or Winter themed layouts
Christmas, holiday cards
Handmade or altered gifts or decorations. 

We would prefer newly made projects but you may submit projects from 2012 only.  Please nothing more than a year old.  Thanks!

Please include the following information with your submission:

·                     Your name, country, blog or website

·                     The title of your project and BRIEF  description  materials used

·                     1 photo of your project plus a detail picture if possible.  Please send a file of at least 300 dpi.  When selecting projects, we look for well-photographed photos (no watermarks please.)

·                     If your project is included we will contact you via email.
