Hello everyone and welcome to Lets Get Sketchy, a brand new sketch site! As scrappers we all LOVE sketches, it takes a lot of the pain out of scrapping! So I have decided to create a sketch site for that purpose and need your help.
To get started I am looking for a few talented and creative scrappers to be on my design team. If you like sketches then this is the site for you! I am looking for a design team AND and sketch team. Your terms would run March 1st through Sept. 1st. The design team would be asked to complete 2 layouts per month from a given sketch and the sketch team would only be asked to create newly sketches for Lets Get Sketchy.
If you are interested and would like to be considered for a position then here is what you need to do:
1. Create a layout from the sketch below
2. Post about the DT call on your blog along with your layout from the sketch
3. Leave a comment below telling me that you would like to be considered for a position and which position you are applying for. Make sure you include the link to your blog where your layout is and your email address.
4. Become a new follower and spread the word about the sketch blog!
No previous DT experience needed to apply. Call will be open until Feb.10th and announcement made Feb 11th. The first challenge will go live March 1st!

*What do we ask of our Designers?
Two projects per month – our challenges go live the 1st and 15th of each month.
Promote Let’s Get Sketchy wherever possible, for example on your personal blog, online communities.
Commit to a six month term with the possibility of extending this for another term.
Leave comments on all challenge entries <- this is super important and will be monitored
**What do our Designers get in return?
The gratification of showcasing your talent for all to see and be on the ground breaking floor of a new sketch site. Designers will have a permanent link to their blog (or homepage) on our site.

ReplyDeleteI would like to know the frequency of sketches your sketch designer needs to submit in a month. Is it once or twice a month, or once every quarter depending on the number of sketch designers you would have?

I work with rectangles, squares and circles primarily with my sketches as I don't use Adobe PSE.

ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen, you would be provided a sketch twice a month to work from. The challenges will post the 1st and 15th of each month. As a DT member you would be required to have your layout due to me for upload by the 25th and 10th of the prior month. So for instance, if the challenge goes live March 1st, your layout would be due to me Feb 25th:-)

I am thrilled to apply for a design team position on your new site. My previous DT experience has been with Colorful Creations and Paper Thrills Challenge Blog. ReplyDeleteI would love to apply for a position on the design team. There are some gorgeous layouts submitted above so it's obviously stiff competion but you never know if you don't try, right?!
I absolutely love sketches, they always get my creativity flowing. When I'm stuck in a rut with a bit of scrappers block they always pull me out. So, being a part of a sketch challenge site would be an awesome opportunity.

What a fabulous opportunity. I LOVE sketches! I am a shabby chic scrapper who has been scrapping for 40 years. Yep ever since I was ten. (well actually, I guess that means over forty then. LOL) I love to scrapbook our life story, most recently the joys of grandchildren. I have not dabbled into digi scrapping yet because I love the 3d look that I get from paper and embellishments. I have more scrapbook supplies than you even want to know. I also don't design my own sketches but look to others with that talent to help me out. ReplyDeleteI would like to apply for the design team as I've always loved creating with sketches! For me, sketches are like the blueprint of a building and are especially useful when I'm feeling creatively challenged.
I'm from Singapore, a sunny little island just south of the equator and I first started scrapbooking (casually) in 2006, but only started doing it more seriously in 2011.
